Description Sjoerd 2013-04-07 08:50:03 UTC
When editing or creating a contact the Categories selection is not shown. Filtering on a categorie does show the contacts in that categorie, so Kaddressbook can "see" the categorie label, but not show it

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open kaddressbook
2. Create or edit a contact
3. In the genreal tab there's no Categories selection
Actual Results:
No categories selection shown

Expected Results:
Categories selection shown

Version is 4.10.2 installed from the backports ppa
In version 4.9.5 it still works as expected

Screenshot kaddressbook with version number and creating contact

Above the "Prefers to receive messages formatted as: " drop down selection button there used to be a Categories selection

Creating a new contact with version 4.9.5: Categories are shown as expected

Here another screenshot but then with version 4.9.5. The Categories selection is shown as expected whereas for v4.10.2 it isn't. See other attachment

Ok it's not a bug it doesn't show when nepomuk is not found.
So make sure that it runs.

Thanks for the clue.
Being able to filter on the categories placed me on the wrong path to look.
Indeed I had switched off nepomuk (desktop seach) and switching it back on gave me back the categories.
