Hi Saurabh, thanks for reporting the crash. However, I need some more information: > - What I was doing when the application crashed: I was trying to test patch assigned to me which is related to tag assignment and it's sorting Can you be more specific in what you were doing to test it? From the backtrace it looks like you were changing the filter settings. I can not reproduce the crash here. Can you please indicate which revision of the code you are using? And if possible also test the a more current version of master (and state its revision number)? Best regards, Michael
Sorry, I did not see that the title mentions what you are doing ;-)
Hello, I am currently using digikam 3.2.0 beta.I was trying to assign tags to my images but whenever I type the name of the tag and then press enter which would create a new tag with that name, digikam crashes. It crashes everytime I assign a new tag.It simply assigns new tag to image and crashes. Hi Saurabh, Digikam 3.2.0 beta is not released yet, so you must be using a self-compiled version from the git repository. You can use this command to find the current commit id that your code is on: git log -n 1 This prints out the last commit in your source tree. Best regards, Michael
Hello, As you suggested after typing git log -n 1 I get foll. output: commit a24e8799f457f0a2d9ed112bcb190526c6f59cc0 Author: Gilles Caulier <caulier.gilles@gmail.com> Date: Sun Mar 24 07:53:18 2013 +0100 polish P.S.: I am using self compiled version from git On Thu, Apr 4, 2013 at 1:06 AM, Michael G. I think this crash was fixed in this revision: https://projects.kde.org/projects/extragear/graphics/digikam/repository/revisions/4f433feeb851af6189407b2fd1718d06118ce947 Can you please update your source tree, recompile and try again? If you have any changes that you want to keep while doing "git pull", have a look at "git stash". Michael
digiKam 3.5.0 is out. Can you give a fresh feedback about your report ? Crash still reproducible ? Thanks in advance Gilles Caulier
I am running digikam Version 3.4.0 Using KDE Development Platform 4.10.2 on Windows 7. I too am getting a problem with altering tags on some pictures and the software crashing. When I run the backtrace software it claims there is nothing useful :( When I restart the software the alterations have taken place. If I alter the caption I do not get a problem, just adding people tags, seems to cause the problem. So far this version has worked well, it is only now, I am tagging up my latest library which I have just downloaded from my phone that it has started to crash, other older libraries were ok when I did them, so I'm not sure at the moment what the difference is. I will have a play and see if I can discover anything helpful.
