Kate does not honor the "Ignore Changes" button when a file changes. Selecting the button results in the dialog immediately reappearing for a file that is changing rapidly. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a text file that changes rapidly, such as a build log. 2. Open the file with kate. Actual Results: The Documents Modified on Disk dialog appears. Selecting the Ignore Changes button has no effect. Expected Results: Selecting the Ignore Changes button should render kate silent with respect to additional changes of the file. Disabling the warning in Settings->General does work. With a rapidly changing file, the dialog reappearance loop is almost impossible to stop. I have to kill kate process through konsole.
Oops --- KDE 4.10.1, Kate 3.10.1. :)
The same problem with Kate 3.13.3, KDE 4.13.3
Yes, if "notify on modified..." dialog is turned on, this still happens.
I just modified my open file from the terminal and used ignore changes and it seems to be working correctly now. If you can please re-test and confirm then we can resolve this bug.
