Description Richard Llom 2013-03-29 17:22:42 UTC
When closing one window from the Window-Preview, the whole Window-Preview is closed, this is:
- inconvenient, as you cannot close multiple windows this way.
- inconsistent, as compared to the other mode (when clicking on the icon and you go in fullscreen with all windows of that app and you can close one-by-one).

Therefore I suggest to keep the Window-Preview open after a window was closed (as long as focus is lost).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open 3 Gwenview windows.
2. Hover with mouse over Gwenview icon in Icon-only-Taskbar.
3. In Window-Preview pop-up hit close (X) on one window.
Actual Results:
Respective window is closed, but so is also the Window-Preview. You can't close another window.

Expected Results:
Respective window is closed, but the Window-Preview should reamain open to close additional windows.

Hello!

This feature request was filed for KDE Plasma 4, which reached end-of-support status in August 2015. KDE Plasma 5's desktop shell has been almost completely rewritten for better performance and usability, so it is likely that this feature request is already implemented in Plasma 5, or is no longer applicable.

Accordingly, we hope you understand why we must close this feature request. If the requested feature is still desired but not implemented in KDE Plasma 5.12 or later, please feel free to open a new ticket in the "plasmashell" product after reading https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved/Bug_Reporting

If you would like to get involved in KDE's bug triaging effort so that future mass bug closes like this are less likely, please read https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved#Bug_Triaging

Thanks for your understanding!

Nate Graham
