Opening a message in kmail requires a lot of time after updating openSUSE 12.3 KDE:Unstable:SC from a ~ 2 months to a ~ 1 week old snapshot. 'top' shows kmail / akonadiserver / mysqld are using a lot of ressources even in idle trime: PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND 7973 joberma+ 20 0 1228m 116m 6080 S 46,0 1,5 48:36.33 mysqld 7971 joberma+ 20 0 1222m 25m 6796 S 33,8 0,3 36:01.25 akonadiserver 16299 joberma+ 20 0 1913m 185m 51m S 33,4 2,4 1:42.26 kmail Reproducible: Always
I had some time to debug: - 4.10.5 from openSUSE:12.3:Update works - 4.11.x and master didn't: - kmail's message window freezes after ~ 3 to 5 messages - akonadiconsole -> Browser is really fast and doesn't freeze I found Bug 323740#c6. So I checked my system ~/.local/share/.local-mail.directory/.inbox.directory/ ~/.local/share/.local-mail.directory/.Posteingang.directory/ (2nd was introduced by kmail-migrator [Bug 258926#c6]) moved all from localized .Posteingang.directory to default .inbox.directory and removed Posteingang (~ 30,000 emails via akonadiconsole -> Browser) kmail is now really fast.
This sounds like it could be caused by Nepomuk feeder. Anyway, it you see this problem again, please reopen the bug.
