Description Aman123 2013-03-26 09:11:32 UTC
OS :windows 8
version: 2.6.8.7

1) Krita will not even open the krita canvas layout untill and unless I use Windows Windows Troubleshoot Compatibilty mode settings.
2) Today I found that after using Windows troubleshoot compatibility settings which makes krita to run with XP/Vista/7 settings, krita works with 100 * 100 pixels canvas size with mouse but does not recognise wacom penabled stylus.

I have not yet tried opening files or new files with sizes larger than 100 by 100.
(I dont generally work on so small files,it was only for testing)

Reproducible: Always

Once, upon trying to start Krita 2.6.0 on Windows 8,I got a warning once that Krita needs some kind of Calligra plugins to start properly.

It is interesting to note that I never installed any Calligra suite or any other KDE software other than krita on this new tablet computer.

I am not a programmer but I guess that this information should be useful to you.

I'm sorry, but I have no idea what "Windows Troubleshoot Compatibilty" is -- I'm very much not at home with Windows. On my win8 ultrabook and win7 laptop, everything works fine with the builds I made last week.

Well,I assume that 2.6.8.8 is having no issues.
But I can confirm 500 million percent that 2.6.8.7 does not recognise Wacom Penabled Stylus of my Lifebook T902.

In windows 8,there is a Tool or a type of program which helps us in changing the settings of the windows 8 with respect to particular software which does not work properly in ordinary condition. This change in settings includes "windows Vista setting ", or "windows 7"or " Windows XP " settings.

In simpler words, what basically Windows Troubleshoot Compatibilty settings programme does is change the settings of the settings of windows for a particular software only,in a way that a program compatable with windows 7 or XP or Vista, but not compatable with Windows 8 can be run by making sure that windows 8 behaves as if it is Windows 7 or Windows Vista or Windows XP.
