KDE 4.9.5, Linux Mint 14 x64 presumably from Ubuntu packages, Core2 processor, KDE menu editor doesn't allow organizing folders. It enforces alphabetic sort, whether that makes sense or not. Is this the actual design? I've never seen a menu editor that didn't let you sort menu items based on something other than the first letter. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Open menu editor 2.Change name of folder/submenu to something beginning with 'A' 3.It pops to the top of the list Actual Results: A menu editor should allow actual editing to the user's specifications, not alphabetic sort. KDE is too far along to be having this sort of issue. Expected Results: There should be a drag-n-drop where items are arranged arbitrarily.

Jim/Allen I can't seem to reproduce this issue on kmenuedit from git master. When I rename an existing category it remains in place and the change is visible in the application menu. Can you please confirm this is now resolved on your systems as well, thanks.

Justin: That was 7 years ago on the previous version of KDE. I've moved on to XFCE now.
