I have created an patch. With this an user can set  the volume step size in the kmix setting dialog.

Reproducible: Always

Thanks for your contribution, Mario. I would like to integrate your patch.

I have a small change request, though. I do not like to have this (and a couple of other currently hidden) options in the main configuration dialog, as it would get too crouded. I would want that in an extra Tab, called e.g. "Expert configuration" or "Advanced configuration". I never had time or motivation to do so. If you could you make the configuration dialog "tabbed" and add the option in that tab I would be integrating it right after KDE4.11 is out.

I changed the configuration dialog to be tabbed now. If you are still interested, then please recreate your patch, using a new Tab "Advanced configuration". Please let me know whether you are still interested in doing this.
