Description cmark1 2013-03-16 00:01:44 UTC
Application: plasma-desktop (0.4)
KDE Platform Version: 4.9.5 (Compiled from sources)
Qt Version: 4.8.3
Operating System: Linux 3.5.0-25-generic x86_64
Distribution: Linux Mint 14 Nadia

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed: Trying to update the widgets list from online repos.

- Unusual behavior I noticed: My machines include a ./.config file called Trolltech Conf for Gnome/GTK framework embedded in a locked test-version UEFI-has ms files (I have NO true access to base hardware, particularly harddrives.) It always has precedence over QT based function. Every installation forces me, against my will, to use experimental repositories rather than stable and will NOT let me change them even using sudo/su/gksudo/gksu/kdesudo/kdesu/su-to-root/ and whatever the admin privilege flavor of the day is. WHY GKSUDO IN KDE? I´m not a IT pro or even amateur coder, I just want stable desktop computers to run my business with and refuse to use m$ windoze.

- Custom settings of the application: BUUF Icon set for DT seems to interfere with PolicyKit, ConsoleKit, or one of the other control frameworks by FUD, the freedesktop.org. According to my hardware analysis utilities, they are the OWNER of my hardware! Yes, I have screenshots of the reports listing freedesktop.org as the owner of all of my computer motherboards, harddrives, and most of the peripherals. I am still using a few 6 or 7 year old AMD socket 939 cpus and motherboards, yet I can find AMD´s name nowhere in my reports, firmware, or even the kernel headers.

I believe the DT (Mint 14 KDE 64-bit from downloaded iso confirmed by SHA-256 sum) has been at least partly compiled from source files, but that is beyond my current Linux admin knowledge.

The crash can be reproduced every time.
