Hi,

I've long thought kmail's "missing attachment" notifier useful (excepting #311619). However, the new reminder at the bottom of the composer window is distracting as well as takes up a lot of space. I much prefer the old presentation: confirm on send whether an attachment should be added. Can I disable the new widget? I don't see an option for this.

Reproducible: Always

you can't. And I will not add it. Sorry, we can't add a settings for each feature to disable it.

I know that some people like it, others doesn't like, but for each feature I can't add a settings to disable it.

Regards.

Is the new widget a replacement for the old prompt then? One or the other is fine, but asking twice doesn't make sense.

If you don't understand why this annoys me, I find the detection to have a very high false positive rate (perhaps 200%) due to it being common to reply to emails where someone else sent an attachment. If this wasn't the case I wouldn't mind so much, but still, two reminders is a bit much, isn't it?
