I have set up a Kolab resource in Akonadi. Syncing works fine, but Kaddressbook does not show any pictures for the contacts. The pictures are stored with the contact information on the server. Kontact and KMail show them (for upcoming birthdays and incoming mails), too. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start Kontact, switch to the addressbook, add a contact with a picture to the Kolab folder. (You should see the picture now) 2. Switch to KMail, update the corresponding IMAP account 3. Switch back to the addressbook, the pictures is gone I'm still stuck with KDE 4.9.5 here. I will upgrade in a few days to 4.10.1 and report back if this problem still exists. I was just wondering if somebody already noticed this problem.

I just figured out, that the pictures are gone Kontact and KMail, too. (Must have been still in some kind of Akonadi/Nepomuk cache.) I'm changing the product to Akonadi since it's no longer a KAddressbock specific problem.
I have the same problem. Contacts on the Kolab server have pictures. However, when synced to Akonadi, the pictures are not visible within e.g. Kontact. Even worse: If you change a contact in Kontact, the contact will be updated (as expected) to Kolab. However, then the picture is also gone on the Kolab server.
I also tried DAV using owncloud. Here I have exactly the same problem as with Kolab. Contacts are successfuly synced but without pictures. And change a contact will lose the picture also on the owncloud server. How I can get useful debug information from Akonadi?
