When printing with my printer HP C5180, using HPLIP, I always get an corrupted printing, the documents is printed only for half page. This does not occur in Windows environment with the same printer (Adobe reader, Windows drivers). Reproducible: Always HPLIP Software Version: 3.12.6 Device Manager Version: 15.0 (QT4)
Created attachment 77926 [details] printed doc I attached the printed doc, to show the problem, obviously the original file is complete.
Happens with all files or just one? If just one attach the file. Does it happen in print preview? Does it happen when printing to file?
Waiting for the info
Hi Albert, no, in both cases it does not happen. I get correct copies.
You forgot the first question: Happens with all files or just one? If just one attach the file. But given the answers that print to file and print preview work fine i'm going to blame the drivers of the printer for not, but still can you please answer the question?
Yes, it happens with all files, also those different from a fax one.
And, by the way, the printers worked well when I was on Kubuntu 12.04 on 32-bit. I changed my system in a 64-bit (with KDE 4.10.1), I don't know if it could be relevant.
I'm going to close the bug i doubt it's our fault. What we do when printing a pdf file is convert it to ps and send the ps to cups. With "Print Preview" what you are seeing is the converted ps file, if that looks correct the problem is somewhere else other than okular, like cups, the printer drivers or something else. Sorry we can't help more.
Yes, I agree with you. Perhaps it is way the cups/hplip driver communicates with the printer. The strange thing is that, for example, if I print an odt file (LibreOffice), I get the correct printout.
