I have several filter working on incoming mails that move them into specific folders. I noticed that some emails appear twice in the destination folder. I experience this behaviour with roughly 40% of all emails subject to a "move into folder" filter action. I used the akonadi-console to further inspect the duplicated emails. I noticed that precisely one of the messaged possesses a Remoted ID. Sometimes the information in the RDF register is also different for such emails. I don't know if this information is useful. Some more information: 1. I use 4 POP3 mail accounts, no IMAP. 2. From time to time my network is quite slow, due to downloads. 3. AFAICT the issues does not occur on manual filtering Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Set up a filter utilizing the "move into folder" action (e.g. filter mails on a very active mailing list). Automatically apply filter on incoming mail Actual Results: Some messages are duplicated in the destination folder. Expected Results: Messages shouldn't be duplicated.
Opensuse 12.3 KMail Version 4.10.3 Using KDE Development Platform 4.10.3 "release 563" I use auto filters to move all my incoming emails directly to their respective folders. When they are moved to folders which are described as mailing list folders, i get the occasional duplicate emails every time i open kmail, this includes duplicate threads. BUT i don't get duplicates when emails are moved to Wastebin by Filtering. I get a lot of spam emails (100+ per day) from japanese sites so its all in japanese and i put together a filter that catches each one and moves it directly to the Wastebin folder. I never seem to get any duplicate emails in the wastebin folder. I check this manually scrolling through checking for duplciate dates/times as running "Folders/Remove Duplicate Mails" doesn't work. Hope this may help. regards Ian
Same here on my Gentoo system with Kmail 4.11.3. Some, but not all, messages filtered appear twice in the destination folder. I also only use POP3 accounts.
