My system is Windows XP. An error occurred in Calligra 2.6.1 (2.6.0.35), and The Crash Reporting Assistant started. It then said that, "The debugger application is missing or could not be launched. The crash information could not be generated. You need to install the debugger package (kdbgwin) and click the Reload button." A couple of screens later, it said, "This report does not contain enough information for the developers, so the automated bug reporting process is not enabled for this crash." I then copied kdbgwin.exe from the Kolab application to Program Files\Calligra\bin\ . I also copied the file kdbgwinrc in Program Files\Calligra\share\apps\drkonqi\debuggers\internal\ to Program Files\Calligra\bin\ , while retaining it in its original location. I restarted Calligra and reproduced the crash. The Crash Reporting Assistant apparently found the debugger this time, but gave this error message, “The debugger has quit unexpectedly. The crash information could not be generated.” The closest previously reported bug that I found is 298412, but that has a status of RESOLVED FIXED. A full correction of the bug would be best, but since that may take some time, I am wondering if there is perhaps a quick fix that I can use. Reproducible: Always
Dear Bug Submitter, This bug has been stagnant for a long time. Could you help us out and re-test if the bug is valid in the latest version? I am setting the status to NEEDSINFO pending your response, please change the Status back to REPORTED when you respond. Thank you for helping us make KDE software even better for everyone!
I am willing to test a more recent version of Calligra and its Crash Reporting Assistant on Windows 7 or XP. But there is no more recent binary package for Windows available. See https://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=203&t=142788 At https://binary-factory.kde.org/ The Calligra win32 and win64 builds are older versions of Calligra. I also checked techspot.com, techworld.com, and downloads.pcauthority.com.au.They have download buttons for Calligra on Windows, but they do not link to a download. Thank you for your interest.
(In reply to Stephen Leibowitz from comment #2) I am now changing the status as Andrew suggested.
drkonqi is no longer supported on windows
