Example text file to demonstrate the bug

When searching for certain patterns using STRG-F, Kate seems to skip the second hit (that it should find) and goes straight from the first hit to the third hit during the first pass through the document. If you continue to the end of the document and start searching from the start again, it also finds the second hit during the second pass.

You can try this by searching for the pattern "((" (two opening parentheses) in the attached document.

Cannot reproduce, is this still an issue? Can you please test again, Jan?
Comment 2 Jan Strunk 2013-08-15 20:08:12 UTC
Hello Dominik, at first, I couldn't reproduce it when I just opened my one example test file in a blank session. After I opened my usual working session with many open files, the phenomenon occurred once. But after that I couldn't reproduce it anymore. So maybe the bug should be closed since it wouldn't be critical anyway.

Can not reproduce, either, then we close this.
