The manual is quite clear. Drag email headers to kaddressbook to add the contact details. Kontact does not allow drop on contacts. I have created an address book and manually added entries, but kontact still will not allow drop. This occurs both with 4.10 under Arch \Linux and 4.8.5 under SuSE Linux on a different machine. It *is* possible to right click on header when message is open and choose 'add to address book', which then works properly. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Try to drag a header from kmail to contacts on left panel in kontact 2. 3. Actual Results: Doesn't allow it Expected Results: Should add sender to contacts
This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present? If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of kontact (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months.
Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
