Description Ravi Arora 2013-02-25 08:46:22 UTC
Please see attachment Choqok_Mark_As_Read.png . "Mark all as read" appears next to "More" which has a visual clue next to it which makes it look like that it would mark only the posts in current timeline as read. However when clicking on it, all posts in other timelines are also marked as read.

Reproducible: Always

Expected Results:
Only posts in currently selected timeline should be marked as read.

Mark all as read button in the timeline view

Actually that button supposed to mark all posts in this account as read.
But with our new UI I think it's ambiguous :/ I'll change the tooltip.

Why not let it do what it actually "feels like" it should do. In fact I was looking forward for that functionality. If I wanted to mark all posts in all timelines to be read I have added a button for that in tool bar.

So, I think you have only one Account configured in Choqok ;) If you had several accounts, then you found this useful.
BTW, There's another (small) button on top right of timeline itself, that will mark that specific timeline as read.

I find it now! And its so small that hardly anyone would notice. Sticking to my original point I still feel that button next to "More" should actually make that action. The fact that it appears only when there are unread posts make it more suitable for that.

Thank you for the bug report.

As this report hasn't seen any changes in 5 years or more, we ask if you can please confirm that the issue still persists.

If this bug is no longer persisting or relevant please change the status to resolved.

Choqok is unfortunately no longer maintained.

If a new maintainer wants to step up and take care, the project is archived here:

https://invent.kde.org/network/choqok

You can just clone it in your private namespace on invent.kde.org and if you have started to work on it and fixed/implemented something get it reviewed and the project unarchived.

Sorry for the inconveniences.
