Most KDE apps can hide the menu on ctrl-M, this is not available in KMail. It IS possible to hide the menu, as I discovered today: for some weird reason, the menu had disappeared and I was unable to get it back. I had to open kmail2rc and remove the line "MenuBar=Disabled" from it to get the menu back. I could not reproduce this issue but it might have to do with the new oxygen option to move the menu to the window decoration (which I've experimented with)? In any case, ctrl-M should work in case this becomes an issue. Also, several applications have a 'show menu bar' item in the right-mouse-click menu on the toolbar when the menu is hidden. I think that makes a lot of sense and would like to see that, too. Reproducible: Couldn't Reproduce
