Description Chaoya 2013-02-17 14:56:22 UTC
quoted from tshallpion : "...the Chinese font and English font are not aligned perfectly in a line. Choosing certain English monospace font, like inconsolata can even make konsole display only the upper half of the Chinese fonts. While in gnome-terminal, it seems everything is okay and all fonts are aligned perfefctly in a line."

This may be due to the different actually-looking size of English and Chinese font of the same "font size", i.e. a Chinese character (using font WenQuanYi Zen Hei or Microsoft Yahei) at the same font size of 12 is much bigger than the English font.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. In Konsole profile, choose arbitrary font.
2. View English and Chinese texts at the same time in Konsole.
Actual Results:
Chinese character is truncated, (at the worst case) half below can not be seen.

Expected Results:
Chinese character should not be truncated.

Assuming this is about vertical alignment, see bug 371687.
