- What I was doing when the application crashed: I was trying to get the new update when the crash happen. I just came from a fsck check. My desktop were unable to handle the kernel. Making my computer slow. too slow opening the account or logging in.

I quickly reviewed other crashes you have reported so far. You certainly should continue reporting them, but looking at the backtraces, most of them are really wired, so that I tend to believe there is something we should investigate.

Do you have any hardware issues, i.e. do you get errors from other software as well?
Do you have multiple versions (self-compiled, etc.) of KDE software installed?
As for this crash, which Phonon version and which Phonon backend do you use, and does switching to a different backend (VLC, gstreamer) help to avoid the crash?
