Description Michi 2013-02-15 17:52:38 UTC
Although the "Enable Mobile Broadband" option is disabled the connection list shows mobile connections. In addition each mobile connection is shown twice.
When "Enable Wireless" is disabled everything is as I would expect.
The version of the plasmoid is "Version 0.9.1.70 (master 20130213)"

Reproducible: Always

Mobile connections are shown even with "Enable Mobile Broadband" disable for a quick activation of mobile connections: you can just click on the mobile connection name that it will enable mobile broadband. If you have more than one modem attached to your computer (that includes your cellphone too) then it is normal to have the same connection listed twice, that is a limitation of the current implementation.

With this rational I think you should also show WLAN connections even when WiFi is disabled. Personally I think that when I disable mobile connections altogether, then I also don't wanna see them....

I don't know if I understand you right, so I try to explain it again. I have 2 connections defined as DUN connections in the settings dialog. Even if I have no device attached, I see 2 offerings for each of these connections. I'll attach a screenshot.

There much less mobile connections out there than wifi connections, it is not reasonable doing that for wifi.

I understoo what you wrote but it seems you did not understand what I said. How many mobile devices do you have? If you have one mobile modem and one cellphone attached to you computer than it is normal to have two connections per device.
