I created an Audio-CD without empty CD-R, select 'burn' -> checked the box 'create image only' and clicked start. Result: The single titles were converted from MP3 to wav and stored in the selected directory. Expected result: An ISO-image is created. I saved the project and quit. I insert an empty CD-R and select from the action menu 'create audio CD with k3B'. A new audio project is opened. Insert a title, click 'burn' -> the empty CD is recognized. OK so far. I load the saved project from above, changed the settings for burning, but still the CD is not recognized. Eject and reload of the empty CD does not help -> the saved project ant be burned! Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. see above 2. 3. Actual Results: see above
Created attachment 77295 [details] Screenshot While looking at it..it seems that the 'capacity overrun of 00:00 min' is not accepted without setting the flag for 'overburn'. With the flag set, it recognizes the empty CD and burning is possible. So maybe the second issue can be fixed with a message, or a more generous setting of the 'used time' computation
Dear Bug Submitter, This bug has been stagnant for a long time. Could you help us out and re-test if the bug is valid in the latest version? I am setting the status to NEEDSINFO pending your response, please change the Status back to REPORTED when you respond. Thank you for helping us make KDE software even better for everyone!
Since 5.5 years, when this bug was reported, the k3b Application was obviously developed further. Current version 18.08.03 does not offer the creation of an image only (as in error description) when trying to burn w/o CD inserted. I really ask myself it it makes sense to report bugs if first reaction is after 5 years with the request to close the bug....

After 10 years of non-activity I'm not interested anymore
