Description Alberto Torres Ruiz 2013-02-14 10:22:04 UTC
Upgraded to KDE 4.10 (Kate 3.10) and one of my favourite features of Kate was gone: highlighting all text that is the same as selected text.

It doesn't even appear when you search (which I guess it was the origin of the feature).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Select a word that appears several times.
Actual Results:
All instances of that word should be highlighted (with a yellow background).

Expected Results:
Nothing changes.

Now I select a word and press F3 as it seems it search that word insead of the last search, but it's not as fast (visually) and I used to do ctrl+F for when I wanted to search the selected word while I expect F3 to behave as before.

Version list is outdated, btw (I had to select "unspecified").

I've been looking like crazy in the config to see if a setting had been switched off during upgrade, but can now see that it's not only me.
A truly great release, but I really miss that feature.
