After upgrading to 4.10, some tooltips of elements of the systemtray are placed on the top of the desktop instead of sticking to their dedicated position right above the panel. This only happens to some of them (Nepomuk, Klipper, KMix) and only if there are no windows on the desktop. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Close all windows and applikations on the desktop. 2. In a standard bottom panel, hover a systemtray-icon like Klipper or KMix with the mouse. 3. Watch their tooltips going to the top of the screen. Actual Results: Some tooltips are shown on the very top of the desktop. Expected Results: The tooltips mentioned above should be placed right over the panel like all the other tooltips. This problem can also be reproduced with new users! So it isn't a user-specific problem but a global one.
Confirmed, kde-4.10.1 on Gentoo. I have just a small Panel on the top right, KMix and Klipper tooltips pop up on the top left of my screen, battery monitor is fine, pops up under the systray. Had the same observation with "no bug if open and _visible_ windows".
I can reproduce it with KDE 4.10.1, Qt 4.8.4 on ArchLinux with a clean config. The bug appears, if no window on the current desktop is active.
This bug occurs in fresh copies of openSUSE 12.3 and Fedora 19. It occurs in KDE 4.10.0 through 4.10.5.
