I think (and also other 273 users) that this will improve a lot the Dolphin usability, there is also a proof of concept of the code, please, consider implement this for the next Dolphin version. Reproducible: Always
Thanks for the report! I agree that this idea looks very interesting! However, I think that it would not be good to change this in Dolphin alone - users will complain if the structure of the 'Edit' actions in the context menu is inconsistent in different KDE apps. You might want to discuss this with KDE's usability people and/or the kde-core-devel mailing list, which is read by all core KDE developers.
I just wanted to add that this was never meant to be Dolphin only; I only used Dolphin as an example of what could be done and what it would look like, so I guess ‘Product’ could/should be changed. I also think it would be of great use in the menubar itself, but if/how that is feasible is currently being discussed on the mailing list.
I can no longer see the images from the forum thread. Menus are layed out and rendered by the Qt library, so if these should be changed, I suggest to report it to Qt developers via https://bugreports.qt.io/
