Amarok supports exporting the current playlist as a playlist file.(m3u, pls, xspf) But there are many devices which do not support those playlist files. (like in-car music players, audio CDs in general, cheap mp3-players, etc.) Request: add an option to export the current playlist as a folder with audio files inside. Amarok supports everything needed to do the thing, it only has to be put together in a nice dialog.(available eg. under Playlist->Export playlist as files…) My propose is a 4-step assistent (to reuse as much UI components as possible): 1. Transcode dialog for setting destination codec(many devices only support mp3/wma) 2. Select destination folder(with info from transcode settings(avg bitrate) and playlist length you can display an approximate folder size) (2.5. export as single file or folder with multiple files) 3. File-manager dialog with a "%track% - %artist% - %title%" file naming preset, where %track% is the track’s position in the playlist. that way the songs are in the right order on every device 4. ask for creating additional playlist files Reproducible: Always
There are scripts for that, also your Amarok version is not exactly recent, please upgrade to Amarok 2.7, there has been a lot of work with the transcoding since 2.6 Also please file one item per report, else this is not trackable.
