Description Antonio Rojas 2013-01-30 18:05:17 UTC
If you open the search bar (in kwrite for isntance) it's not possible to search for words with accented characters, dead keys don't work. If you type a word that is found in the text (so that the background turns green) dead keys work fine after that.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Crate a text file with the string "abc" in kwrite
2. Open the search bar, try to type "á"
3. Type "abc" in the search bar
4. Clear the search bar, and try to type "á" again
Actual Results:
It doesn't work the first time, it works the second time.

Do you see this issue only in KWrite/Kate, or also in other applications?
Comment 2 Antonio Rojas 2013-02-08 07:48:00 UTC
kwrite, konqueror: fails
kmail, knode: works
