Description Wiktor 2013-01-30 16:31:05 UTC
Dates printed with normal font looks very unclear and it's hard co compare dates of neighbouring files.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Dolphin
2. Switch on detailed view mode.
3. Show Date column.
Actual Results:
Dates are printed with normal font.

Expected Results:
Dates printed with monospace font.

Thanks for the report, but I don't see how we could resolve this - people will complain if the font they chose is not used, and adding an option to choose the font for the 'Date' column separately is definitely not going to happen.
Comment 3 Wiktor 2013-01-30 17:27:28 UTC
Of course, sorry for not good explanation… I meant using font set as Fixed in system-settings.
Comment 4 Christoph Feck 2013-01-30 22:11:03 UTC
Good font designers know this problem, and avoid it by ensuring that all ten digits have the same width.
Comment 5 Christoph Feck 2013-01-30 22:16:36 UTC
In other words, to me this is a WONTFIX. You will have this problem everywhere with the font you use, not just in Dolphin.
Comment 6 Frank Reininghaus 2013-01-31 07:01:08 UTC
Thanks Christoph, I had already wondered if it's a coincidence that I don't see the problem at all here.

@Wiktor: please use a better font or complain to the designers of your font about this issue.
Comment 7 Wiktor 2013-01-31 10:23:45 UTC
It's oxygen font, designed for KDE… Well… Thanks for response.
Comment 8 Christoph Feck 2013-01-31 12:54:35 UTC
Ah, in this case, we can reassign the request.
Comment 9 Wiktor 2013-01-31 14:08:21 UTC
That's good idea :) . Should I do something with this request?
