In Amarok version I am presently using (2.5), when multiple albums have the same name, they are aggregated by Amarok despite having different AlbumArtist tags. i.e. Albums entitled 'Discovery' by Daft Punk and ELO are grouped together under 'Various Artists>Discovery' when collection is sorted by Album Artist Name > Artist Name > None. The expected behaviour would be to see them separately under 'Daft Punk > Discovery' and 'ELO > Discovery'. I could swear this didn't happen in the past.... and the developer aof the Random Albums Script thinks so too : http://opendesktop.org/content/show.php?action=content&content=104462 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Tag two different albums with the same AlbumName, and AlbumArtists Artist1, Artist2 2. Rescan collection 3, Sort collection by Album Artist Name > Artist Name > None Actual Results: Tracks from both albums are listed under 'Various Artists > AlbumName' and will play intermingled. Expected Results: Tracks for each album would list separately under 'Artist1 > AlbumName' 'Artist2 > AlbumName' and will play in the correct order.

Thanks Jörg -sorry I did look before I posted, but didn't catch it by title.
Also, your Amarok version is very old, please upgrade, the current stable version is 2.7 *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 216759 ***
Thanks Myriam! I agree re the age - however 2.5 is all that's in the openSUSE 12.2 Current repo, and I get a grumpy dependency when I try to switch to the Packman version which is at 2.6. Only slightly better on my other (openSUSE tumbleweed) machine where I get to 2.6.
