KMail somehow deleted one of my folder when I logged out from KDE and there were some unread mail in this and one more folder. Strangely, only one folder was deleted. I think, it's so serious bug as I luckily save all my email on GMail archive but without it it would be complete data loss. By the way, is there any way to restore a folder? KMail prompted me on the next startup something like "the folder is being deleted, new messages will go to Inbox". Maybe there some kind of Recycle bin or something? The folder was an inbox for my GMail account synchronized using POP3 protocol with 1 minute period so it's so possible that I closed session while it was on updating. Reproducible: Didn't try Steps to Reproduce: 1. Syncronize folder contents to get some fresh mail. 2. Log out from KDE. 3. Startup again, mention that one of folders is absent.
I have the same issue. After creating subfolders for Inbox or Sent mails, the subfolders are automatically deleted 1. when starting Kmail again, they are visible for half a second, and then gone 2. when creating a new subfolder in the dialog for assigning a subfolder to one pop3.account, after returning from the change menue, suddenly deleted. Kmail 4.10.2 on Linux (i686) release 3.8.0-19-generic
This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present? If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of kmail2 (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.12 or later), it gets closed in about three months.
Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
