I don't know if the cause is always the same but application crashes in the middle of playing songs, it doesn't matter if it is ogg or mp3 file, or whether file is in queue. This specific crash I'm reporting occured when I was playing second ogg track in queue at around 0:10. I use gstreamer phonon backend. I hope that stacktrace contains enough information to find cause of the crash. Looks very much like a problem with libgstreamer. Please make sure you use the latest builds and alternatively try the phonon-backend-vlc.
I suffer from the same problem. And it only appeared with Amarok 2.7. May still be a problem in libgstreamer, just pointing out that it only appeared with Amarok 2.7. Cheers

Backtrace with debugging symbols? Because the previous one didn't have those, so saying you have the same problem is a very wild guess :) And specifying the exact libgstreamer version and phonon-backend version would be needed as well. Anyway, please report this upstream, it's pretty pointless to report this here as without even a backtrace there is no indication that Amarok is to blame.

This is a upstream in gstreamer, not much we can do about. As for the freeze with the phonon-backend-vlc, please file a separate report, if necessary get a backtrace with gdb
I can add that I've had several similar crashes on Amarok 2.7 with Arch Linux and KDE 4.10.1. If I turned off the wikipedia widget, the crashes go away. Maybe it's causing some memory corruption or something that crashes gstreamer in the end?

I can confirm that after disabling wikipedia widget crashes are not happening anymore when using VLC backend or GStreamer.
Changing to the VLC backend did not resolve this for me, disabling the Wikipedia widget seems to have resolved it.
Guys, this is already fixed in git. Amarok 2.7.1 is coming up soon, it'll contain this fix. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 319371 ***
