You get the option to associate mouse clicks with some actions but you can only set the whole menu or the favourites launcher. It would be very comfortable to configure the menu you want to display. For example, in the left click I set the favourites launcher since I use the apps all the time. But I have a dozen other apps that I use occasionally and I'd love to have them in the right click for instant access unlike whole the menu with 100 apps that most of them I use once per month. Reproducible: Always
I don't even have a "favourites lauchner" in the mouse actions configuration? Only K-Menu, Switch window, Paste, Default menu, Switch desktop & Switch activity...
Janet, see http://kde-apps.org/content/show.php/?content=117639 for the Favorites Launcher.
Thanks Christoph. So the favorites menu is an external action. That wxplains why I don't have it. The rightclick menu I'd like to have would be a combination of application starters and workspace specific actions - as it was possible in KDE 3. I'd love to create some similar extra menu for my KDE 4 desktop, containing switch user, take screenshot, next/previous desktop, controlling the screensaver, open wallpaper folder, open konsole/yakuake - additionally to run, lock widgets, leave, desktop settings.
Hello! This feature request was filed for KDE Plasma 4, which reached end-of-support status in August 2015. KDE Plasma 5's desktop shell has been almost completely rewritten for better performance and usability, so it is likely that this feature request is already implemented in Plasma 5, or is no longer applicable. Accordingly, we hope you understand why we must close this feature request. If the requested feature is still desired but not implemented in KDE Plasma 5.12 or later, please feel free to open a new ticket in the "plasmashell" product after reading https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved/Bug_Reporting If you would like to get involved in KDE's bug triaging effort so that future mass bug closes like this are less likely, please read https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved#Bug_Triaging Thanks for your understanding!
