Just as done in digikam, marble could provide an interface to select one or more folders to scan for images with geographical information and display them just as done with the flickr images.

Expected Results:  
Select photo plugin, select folder with images (in configuration dialog), images are being displayed. Perhaps they could be linked to the image viewer of choice!?

1. That would be really cool and I'd love to see this too.
2. You can use the KML export in digiKam to create a KML that you can import in Marble.
3. Or you can use the darktable "KML Export of GeoTaged Images" script to create KML file of your images. You can find the script here:
