Description Elmar Zander 2013-01-11 11:01:41 UTC
When the editor you configured for use with synctex cannot be started you currently get no error message. If you klick Shift+LMB just nothing happens. It would be nice if you, as a user, were informed why nothing is happening. E.g. when the .sync.gz file is missing a message box "Error: synctex file is missing. OK" or when the editor could not be started something like "Error: Kile could not be started. Reason: file not found...". This is not high priority, but I think, it would be a five-minute fix, if you know where to look for in the code.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
See Details.
Actual Results:
Nothing.

Expected Results:
Give me an error message.
