It is an proposal. 
I have got box sets with many cds in them. 
They all have the same album name, artist name and year in their tags, but different CD number. 
Now I cannot add one specific CD (from e.g. 10CDs) to playlist. (I have to add them all).
What I would like is:
sorting at 1st level - album artist name
sorting at 2nd level - album name
sorting at 3rd level - cd number in boxset

Are you sure it's duplicate?
I don't want to have multiple collections with different sorting, but when I think about that, it would be great too.
I only would like to have the same selection in third sorting level as in first and second level (namely "CD number"). I believe it takes much less time to implement this, than in bug 207358. Now in Amarok 2.7 I see that "CD Number" has been removed, so this bug would be only for bringing "CD Number" back to sorting levels.

It is a duplicate, as adding more id3 tag options would need to be implemented for both, adding more complexity to the code BTW.

Where do you see that removed? Maybe we don't talk about the same thing here... a screenshot might be helpful

I am pretty sure there never was a sorting option by CD number there, and I just went through the chances in the code in that part since 2.6 and nothing indicates that anything was removed there.

Ok. That's not important. Maybe I had illusions :) but anyway thanks for checking.

Now that we know what it's about, I would like to know if it is still so much work (as you've mentioned earlier) to be done to add "CD number" to these sorting levels?

Is it still duplicate then?
