There is a spinner overlay over the presence plasmoid icon in the systray. I assume it means "connecting". The problem is that it spins randomly. Sometimes it keeps spinning when I switch to offline presence. It sometimes also keeps spinning when all accounts are already online. Needless to say that this makes it useless.

This was fixed in 0.5.2.

Do you have control over the telepathy-kde PPA on Launchpad? Could you bump the Ubuntu Precise/12.04 packages to 0.5.2? Currently 0.5.2 is only available for Quantal/12.10.

0.5.2 Packages for Precise being sync'd to the Telepathy KDE Releases PPA. Dennis was kind enough to test them. Kudos to him!
