Description Dennis Schridde 2013-01-04 17:26:21 UTC
This worked before (some very early version), but does not anymore: The presence plasmoid should show connection status for all accounts in the tooltip. Currently it just shows my Linux username and "Available". No idea which account it refers to (some are certainly offline due to some problems). And I would also like to see the status of *each* account presented as a list, because Telepathy still has severe issues making certain accounts stay online (it will often loose connection) and I would like to quickly detect that case.

Reproducible: Always

I'm thinking about displaying any problems in the tooltip, possibly indicated by a small icon overlay on the presence applet, while if everything is connected ok, display just the global presence status like it is now.

So you never want to display the individual connection statuses? Would be nice if that would become an option anyway - possibly disabled by default.

But I like the idea with an overlay icon in case of problems with at least one account. Maybe a yellow exclamation mark in a triangle. The tooltip would then list the accounts that failed and the specific reason.

Well there's not much use - if everything is connected, isn't it enough to know that all is connected?

As for the overlay - I was thinking just that ;)

Agreed. I probably just had some nostalgic feelings. ;)

Dear user, unfortunately Telepathy is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
