I have tested this on 2.5.0 (ubuntu 12.04) and 2.6.0 (ubuntu 12.10), against ampache 3.5.4 and ampache 3.6-alpha1. I can copy mp3 files between local collections, ie: between /home/$user/Music and a MP3 player attached to the system. I can browse the ampache collection. I can play music from the ampache collection. I can _not_ left click a file from the ampache collection, select Copy to Local Collection, and have it work. I get the file naming preset dialog, and after setting that, no result. In Amarok 2.5 under ubuntu 12.04, I get a progress bar to appear, but it never changes, and no file shows up in $HOME/Music/ In Amarok 2.6 under ubuntu 12.10, I get no result, and no file shows up in $HOME/Music/ Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Internet -> Ampache service 2. Select a song 3. Right click a song, select copy to local collections. 4. <nothing -- see description> Actual Results: No file copied. Expected Results: A file, with the naming convention selected, appearing in $HOME/Music/
Just to make sure: you have the necessary permissions and enough space (at least double the size of the download) on your HD?
One was on a laptop with 100GB free, and the other on a virtual machine with approximately 8GB free. The music directory has 755 permissions. I didn't seen an apparmor profile covering amarok, but just in case, I turned that off as well. As a note, I believe this is an amarok issue, as opposed to ampache, as I can use the ampache web interface to download files, including into the Music directory.
Thank you for the fast feedback.
Having the same problem on 2.6.90, on 2.6 the problem didn't occur

I believe that was that commit https://projects.kde.org/projects/extragear/multimedia/amarok/repository/revisions/b6b4961f0d6c089486b0f7554f44489ea5c0030d which is a part of amarok 2.7

So you say this bug here is also fixed by this commit?
Oh sorry I didn't read the thread description correctly. Remove my comments if you can.
Can somebody please test with Amarok 2.7?
I can provide ampache server with music.
I was able to copy files to the local collection, using amarok 2.7, i386, from the kubuntu ppa respositories.
