Description Eric 2013-01-03 08:03:05 UTC
Application: konsole (2.9.4)
KDE Platform Version: 4.9.4
Qt Version: 4.8.4
Operating System: Linux 3.6.10-2.fc17.i686 i686
Distribution (Platform): Fedora RPMs

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:
Closing all the files and getting ready to shutdown the broken computer

- Unusual behavior I noticed:
After rebooting after updates it lagged some then the screen became mumbled and jumbled and then fixed and then it lagged twice as bad. switching to a different tty is slower now and on openSUSE the desktop completly stops working and you have to init 3 init 5 and that doesn't work sometimes.

- Custom settings of the application:
only one I can think might have anything to do with it is the kde4 screen resolution set to 1024x1280
I had to install updates to open files with kate and dolphin and qt4.

-- Backtrace:
Application: Konsole (konsole), signal: Segmentation fault
Using host libthread_db library "/lib/libthread_db.so.1".

"I had to install updates to open files with kate and dolphin and qt4." imply your system was probably broken due to downstream packaging issues.

Reassign to oxygen devs, since that is the only clue in the backtrace. But I doubt they will find this report very useful.
Comment 2 Hugo Pereira Da Costa 2013-01-07 10:25:02 UTC
really not much I can do here:
- the issues you report (lag etc.) are unrelated to the actual crash (though they might causing it)
- I cannot reproduce

I'd suggest you try with a fixed system, and investigate the lag issue and others with the help of your distro forums.

Sorry.

Please report back if the crash persists after your system is functional again.
