I have a german Fedora install (17) with Knode 4.9.4. I have set the default spell checking language to English (US), but the language for spell checking (in the spell checking dialog in the compose window) is always set to german. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Setup default language German (Fedora) 2. Set default spell checking language to English (US) 3. Compose a message Actual Results: Spell checking language is German. Expected Results: Spell checking language is English (US). Of course, selecting the right language in the spell checking dialog works, but the setting is lost once the compose window is closed.
Do you look at identity for specific spell checking language ?
There is no language option in the identity dialog. The file ~/.kde/share/apps/knode/nntp.1/info has a line identity=372618578, however I do not know where the identity is saved. I now used kmail to change the identity language form English Antigua & B (whyever this was set) to English US, but Knode still uses German. However Knode saw the renaming of the identity, thus it did notice that it was changed. Thus I see two independent problems. 1. knode ignores the language defined in settings and in the identity (this bug) 2. knode does not allow to change the language inside an identity (new bug?)
Ah knode. oops I thought that it was kmail. In kmail we can assign spell check in identity. We will merge knode in kmail for 4.11 (I hope) so these bug will be resolv after that :)
Uorg ... really? :( I always loved Knode for is simple but effective user interface. I hope the whole thing will stay as fast as it is now.
yes but knode is not maintains. and it has still lof of qt3support. and when we will move to qt5 it must remove it... Yes I know we must some developer and I can't maintains 2 programs which is maintly duplicate with kmail .
Hello! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this project has been unmaintained for many years so I am closing this bug.
