Description Achim Bohnet 2012-12-28 10:18:47 UTC
After upgrade 4.9.4 -> 4.10 rc1 the background of the widgets, that open on left click ( of e.g. Digital Clock and Networkmanger is 100 % transparent and contents is hardly readable anymore.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Move a window with black (e.g. konsole) or white background below 'Digital clock' and networkmanagaer icons in the panel.
2. Left click on 'Digital Clock' or 'Networkmanager' in the panel
Actual Results:
See attached Screen shots

Expected Results:
readable text in the 'windows' that open on left click (e.g. with blurred background or (much?) less transparent background. Whatever was the default 4.9* would be okay)

On my kubuntu systems, the workaround (pseudo fix ;-) ) was:

 * goto system settings
 * desktop effects

and choose 'Default' then 'Apply' button.

Problem is that somehow the text of the background window is not smear over anymore. For me it looks like a bugfix would be that transparency of those plasma widget should be reduced when the effect that smears out the background text/gfx is not enabled.
