Description Alexander 2012-12-24 09:12:00 UTC
I've bought such keyboard and to close a window I should press Alt + fn + F4 and I didn't found any setting in system settings to change this behavior. Would be better to access multimedia keys through "fn" and made functional keys accessible directly.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Plug in an Apple alluminium keyboard (or maybe any other with "fn" button, not sure)
2. Try to close any window by pressing Alt + F4.
Actual Results:
You'll be need to press "fn" button also.

Expected Results:
There should be an option to select a preferable behavior.

Why is this bug report specific to KDE? How do other Linux systems handle Apple keyboards?

Hi, yes, this should be a wrong place to report that.
Fixed this by adding "hid_apple.fnmode=2" to the grub kernel parameters.
