Description zed reisende 2012-12-13 17:01:04 UTC
I frequently have to shift between work and home setups with my laptop. I have an extra monitor in both cases and when I specify the location of the external monitor to "Above" a subsequent change to just about anything else will reset that choice to "Clone". Very annoying. I am forced to do any configuration changes first and make sure that the last thing I do is set the position of the second monitor.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. launch "Display" settings
2. select "Above" for external monitor
3. change the resolution of the laptop screen
Actual Results:
The external monitory position switches back to "Clone"

Expected Results:
The external monitory position stays to whatever I selected before

Thanks for reporting your bug.

Since reporting Krandr has since been replaced by KScreen. It is available in the Plasma 4 series, and is default in Plasma 5 onwards.

I hope this solves your issue. If you still have a problem after upgrading please reopen a new bug under kscreen.

Thanks
