Description Алексей Шилин 2012-12-12 23:00:18 UTC
Let's assume you are viewing images in the fullscreen mode and have to rotate many of them. When you finally exit the fullscreen mode, the save bar resizes the main window beyond measure.
The exact value depends on your locale. I am using Russian localization, and the window is resized beyond a 1280x1024 screen.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open an image with Gwenview. Use Russian localization to notice the issue better.
2. Resize the main window to a relatively small size.
3. Enter the fullscreen view mode.
4. Rotate the image.
5. Click Next.
6. Rotate the image.
7. Click Next once again.
8. Rotate the image. Don't click Next this time.
9. Exit the fullscreen mode.
Actual Results:
The main window is resized beyond measure.

Expected Results:
The main window shouldn't have been resized at all.

I'm using Gwenview 2.4.3 as in Debian squeeze. The newer one in Kubuntu 12.10 was tested and is affected too.

I'm not able to reproduce this in Gwenview 17..11.70. Looks fixed.

Unfortunately, I have just successfully reproduced the issue in Gwenview 17.11.70. The steps are pretty much the same:

  1. Switch to Russian locale (it contains localization strings which are longer than the English ones, so the issue is more visible there).

  2. Open an image in Gwenview.

  3. Switch to fullscreen mode.

  4. Rotate the image, switch to the next one, rotate it too.

  5. Exit the fullscreen mode.

I've attached two screenshots: before switching to fullscreen mode, and after completing the steps above and return from fullscreen mode. The window got resized to 1623x801 from its original size and thus went beyond the screen.

no tabs at the bottom, no scrollbar below miniatures

I have the same right after when I click on image file in Dolphin. Gwenview opens with this wrong scaling so that no tabs at the bottom for F4 bar, no scrollbar below miniatures are visible.
I use 1440x900 resolution screen. I deleted Gwenview catche and config files but with no result.
