Description nucleo 2012-12-10 23:20:44 UTC
After updating from 4.9.3 to 4.9.4 some IMAP folders marked with read color.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
Update to 4.9.4.
Actual Results:
For some IMAP servers folders always marked with red color, for other servers not marked.
But all accounts works fine, can show new incoming mails.

Expected Results:
Folders should not be always marked with red color.

No such problem in 4.9.3.
Comment 1 nucleo 2012-12-11 02:28:40 UTC
No folders marked with red color after downgrading KDE to 4.9.3.
Comment 2 Laurent Montel 2012-12-11 06:50:54 UTC
Are you sure that you don't show limit of quota ?
I fixed it for 4.9.4
So it shows you that your folder is limit in quota.
Comment 3 nucleo 2012-12-11 11:35:28 UTC
If you mean quota such as 10 Gygabytes space for gmail account then I am definitely sure that all IMAP folders much less than this quota.
Comment 4 Laurent Montel 2012-12-11 11:49:28 UTC
So any idea...
Comment 5 nucleo 2012-12-11 12:04:12 UTC
I can do any test if you help me to diagnose problem.
For example one of gmail accounts uses 7M of 10320M space, there was mails in [Gmail]/Sent folder but even after I removed all mails it remains red.
Comment 6 nucleo 2012-12-11 12:11:28 UTC
The only common thing for all accounts marked with red color that they are gmail. Non-gmail accounts not marked.
Comment 7 Laurent Montel 2012-12-11 12:51:50 UTC
So it's perhaps a problem with gmail resource.
Did you update it too ?

I just have imap.gmail.com accounts that are works fine but marked red.
Don't know what should I update.
Comment 9 Laurent Montel 2012-12-11 13:54:18 UTC
do you use gmail resource or imap resource ?
Comment 10 nucleo 2012-12-11 13:56:38 UTC
Accounts setup as IMAP servers.
Comment 11 nucleo 2012-12-11 14:47:56 UTC
I tried to setup imap.gmail.com account for new system user with clean KDE configs, then IMAP folders was not marked with red color.
But don't how to fix folders for existing system user.
Comment 12 Vincenzo Reale 2012-12-11 16:59:05 UTC
I'm experiecing the same issue after 4.9.4 upgrade.
It seems that it occurs for all imap accounts, not only gmail one.
As a workaround, I'm using custom colors in KMail settings.

Which color do you change in custom colors to avoid it ?

Folder name and size when close to quota.
Before changing that setting I checked possible quota limits.
Thanks Laurent.
Comment 15 Laurent Montel 2012-12-11 17:40:39 UTC
"Folder name" ?
"size when close to quota" what was size in % before and after ?

Because it's right I fixed a bug when we don't use custom color it doesn't show quota info.
it's was already 100% => never show when we don't use custom color.
But if it works in custom color after when you disable it it will work too.

What shown on Quota page for marked red accounts
http://img703.imageshack.us/img703/9899/quotab.png

Accounts not marked don't have quota tab.
Comment 17 Laurent Montel 2012-12-11 18:04:14 UTC
There is not quota value ? (%) ?
Comment 18 Laurent Montel 2012-12-11 18:13:30 UTC
nucleo do you try to change quota limit ?
I looked at code and for me it's a problem with quota value get from server.
Now I don't know how to debug it.
Here works fine.
Do you have compiled version of kdepim ?
Comment 19 nucleo 2012-12-11 18:19:35 UTC
No (%) on Quota tab (maybe because gmail account usage too low 7M or 75M of 10320M? ), but when I setup new IMAP account for user with clean KDE settings there is the same Quota tab without % but folder not marked as red.
Compiled kdepim installed from Fedora 18 updates https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2012-20061
Comment 20 nucleo 2012-12-11 19:37:04 UTC
I never tried to change quote limit, even can't find where it can be changed.
Comment 21 Laurent Montel 2012-12-11 20:30:08 UTC
kmail->configure->appeareance->colors-> close to quota threshold
Comment 22 nucleo 2012-12-11 20:53:28 UTC
0% there but I never touched that value.
Comment 23 nucleo 2012-12-11 21:38:34 UTC
In clean kmail setup this value set to 80%, so problems here with old default 0% value?
Comment 24 Laurent Montel 2012-12-11 22:35:23 UTC
0% was not a problem.
Don't know why it was "0%" because default is 80
But if it was 0% it's normal that was red.
Comment 25 nucleo 2012-12-11 22:37:54 UTC
Maybe 0% should mean that quota threshold disabled because no sense in 0-sized folder?
Comment 26 Vincenzo Reale 2012-12-11 22:48:15 UTC
I have three red colored imap accounts. One of them shows 40% of used quota, but still red. No quota usage for the other two accounts.

Yes, it is. kdepim 4.9.4 Archlinux packages.
Comment 29 Vincenzo Reale 2012-12-12 16:44:56 UTC
I can confirm nucleo's previous statement. I configured two of that three accounts for a new test user. Fonts are black as expected with custom colors option disabled.
Comment 30 Laurent Montel 2012-12-12 17:19:29 UTC
And nucleo told me that it was a bad value with "close to quota threshold" => 0
So I don't have other idea.
Comment 31 Vincenzo Reale 2012-12-12 17:29:40 UTC
Resetting "close to quota threshold" 80->90->80 solved the issue.
Thank you guys.

Did you change that value to 0 or it was set to 0 by default?

It was 80. That's the reason I didn't care about it.

So bug should be closed as INVALID?
Comment 35 Laurent Montel 2012-12-13 06:43:43 UTC
