Description David de Cos 2012-12-10 12:35:56 UTC
After viewing some pictures in full screen and returning to normal view, the miniature bar isn't centered on the selected picture. Instead, it's centered a few pictures ahead, to the point that sometimes it isn't even shown. The more pictures you've seen in full screen, the longer the mismatch. This doesn't happen if the miniature bar is horizontal.
For some reason, the bug only happens when the side panel (the one you toggle with F4) is visible.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Have Gwenview configured with vertical miniature bar and visible side panel.
2. Open a folder with many pictures.
3. Enter full screen, and go through your pictures for a while. Actually, you can simply use the miniature bar on the top and scroll to select one of the pictures that's quite far from the first.
4. Exit full screen.
Actual Results:
The vertical miniature bar shows a number of pictures ahead of the one that's selected.

Expected Results:
Have the miniature bar centered at the selected picture, just like it does when it's horizontal.

Checked both in OpenSuSE 12.2 and Kubuntu 12.10.

Happens also for the horizontal preview-bar under the image view.

Steps to reproduce:
- browse to a folder with about 100 pictures
- view the first (leftmost in preview bar)
- engage fullscreen
- goto last picture (press end key)
- go about 7 to 10 pictures back to the left
- leave fullscreen
- depending on your screensize and thumbnail size you can't see the currently selected picture in the bar, which is scrolled to the maximum right.

Can't reproduce with Gwenview 17.11.70. Looks fixed!

I just tried with Gwenview 16.12.3 and couldn't reproduce it either. So you're right, looks like it's fixed.

I can still reproduce - made you a screenrecording:
https://gofile.io/d/k3p5rx

I start on the very first picture of the folder (~350 pictures, I waited for all thumbnails to be created/loaded)
- double click to make it fullscreen
- press <END> to go to the last picture
- go a few pictures back to the left (depending on the number of previews, that fill your screen)
- <ESC> to exit fullscreen

Observed:
- The thumbnail-bar in the bottom is scrolled all the way to the right to the very last picture
- The actual picture and it's blue highlight are scrolled off screen (-> This is the BUG = the wrong scroll position)
- moving another picture to the left, the thumbnail-bar updates and jumps to the correct position, exposing the current picture.
