Description Solerman Kaplon 2012-12-07 16:41:02 UTC
After trying to define a shortcut (Ctrl+U) to view message source as secondary shortcut, it first complained it was conflicting with "Mark message as unread" (ok at this first), I choose to override it and the shortcut didn't work. I tried to force it to be the first shortcut and still didn't work. Restarting kmail made it work.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1) define a shortcut for View Message Source that conflicts with another shorcut
2) A message with a warning about shortcut conflit appears, accept to override the shortcut
3) try to use the shortcut without restarting KMail
Actual Results:
Shortcut doesn't work as configured

Expected Results:
Shortcut should provide immediate results as other KDE apps

This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of kmail2 (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.12 or later), it gets closed in about three months.

Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
