Description Daniel Vrátil 2012-12-06 20:11:57 UTC
Changing volume of master channel in KMix (either in tray or via HW buttons) does not change volume of any applications - I have to open full KMix and change volume of respective playback stream.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Play some music (Amarok, mplayer, ...)
2. Change volume of master channel

Actual Results:
Nothing happens

Expected Results:
General volume should lower

This happens in KDE 4.9.90 (KDE 4.10 beta2). Worked correctly in 4.9.3

Is the Master channel you control the actual channel that is playing back audio? Please report back.
Comment 2 Daniel Vrátil 2012-12-11 12:10:38 UTC
Sorry, totally stupid of me - of course the master channel was switched to HDMI instead of built-in analog stereo. However I'm pretty much sure I did not change it - could there be an issue with settings migration (or something like that)?
