Description EMR_Kde 2012-12-06 00:32:55 UTC
I have deleted quite a number of media files from my system. Yet, all I can do to refresh the "Media Sources" screen doesn't remove them from that screen. They still appear with whatever previous information they had. If the file is missing a "Rescan" should remove that file's information from the Media Sources screen. Further, pressing CTRL-A and DELETE doesn't remove the errant entries from the "Media Sources" listing.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Scan an MP3 file directory
2. Delete the file from the directory externally
3. Restart amarok

Actual Results:
The non-existant media file still exists in the listing even after a rescan.

Expected Results:
Media file gone.

Does it really show in the File Browser or is it the Collection Browser? Your description suggests the latter

Am not sure, but I have attached some snapshots. The first is the Media Sources window, and the second is the "Edit Track Details..." window, which is greyed out because the file no longer exists. Again, running "rescan" doesn't resolve the fact that the files are no longer there, and should not show up.

Yes, that is the Collection browser indeed. Is the file you erased still in the Trash (Del) or did you completely delete it (Shift+Del). Might be that the AFT keeps it in memory until it is totally deleted.

I rm -rf the directory on the command line, no trash.

Thank you for the feedback. This was actually reported earlier for the development branch as well.
