Description Martin Tlustos 2012-12-04 13:21:35 UTC
I set up a virtual search folder to find big messages (>1mb) through all my email accounts (4 imap, 1 local maildir). Then after some days I realized that kontact uses ~800mb memory.
Deleting the search folder and restarting kontact solved the problem. But I think it shouldn't behave like this.

Reproducible: Didn't try

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a virtual folder for big emails
2. restart kontact
3.
Actual Results:
huge memory usage

Expected Results:
shouldn't be more than usual (~70mb in miy case)

kontact doesn't seem to support searches across imap accounts, so marking this one as "fixed" (kinda) ;-)
